Proper aftercare is essential for healing and keeping your tattoo looking its best. Please follow these instructions carefully.
Keep the protective wrap on for the recommended amount of time (max. 48 hours for second skin, remove cling film when you get home). Once removed, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, do not rub.
Start moisturising 48 hours after your appointment (doesn't matter when you've removed the protective covering of the tattoo.)
Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, do not rub. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturiser. Avoid over-moisturising, as the tattoo still needs to breathe during healing.
Do not swim or go to the sauna. Avoid direct sunlight, don't let the tattoo get sunburnt.
Do not scratch, pick or peel the tattoo while it's healing. This will show when it's fully healed.
Redness, peeling, itching, and slight flaking are completely normal. Healing usually takes around 2–6 weeks depending on placement and skin type.
Wear clean, loose-fitting clothing over the tattoo whenever possible during the healing process. Avoid tight fabrics that may cause irritation or friction.
Once healed, keeping your tattoo moisturised and protected with sunscreen will help maintain the detail and longevity of the tattoo over time. Start using sunscreen 2 weeks after getting your tattoo.
